Shelby County Schools Report
Shelby County Schools Report is a local news magazine designed to inform the community about activities and events occurring within Shelby County Schools. Each month, a student reporter produces a "Teacher Feature" report, highlighting the efforts of a special educator in our system. Also featured is a "School of the Month" report, focusing on a unique aspect of that month's school. SCSR also highlights outstanding administrators and programs in Shelby County Schools. The show closes with a message from Superintendent Dorsey Hopson and a calendar of upcoming events. Special shows have included reports on summer enrichment camps, award-winning teachers and innovative programs based in educational technology. The December show features holiday performances from three Shelby County high school choral groups.

Shelby County Schools Report - SEPTEMBER show 2018
This month's Shelby County Schools Report highlights the Principal of Cordova Elementary School, Kimberelle Lewis, who is using her leadership skills to make an impact on education nationally. Also, we will visit the classroom of a teacher of the month, Daniel Warner, in East High School; and see how he connects student lives to those who have come before them. Our host, Allison Long, will interview the new SCS Board Member Joyce Dorse Coleman. We will also visit Belle Forest Community school and find out how the JROTC program in Central High School prepares students to become a future leader of tomorrow.
