Live Coverage of the Germantown Festival
GHS-TV students take to the Germantown Civic Club Complex every September for Live Coverage of the Germantown Festival. This massive three-hour production takes months of planning from the students and is an invaluable experience in live television, remote production, event planning, teamwork and leadership.
Along with streaming online, the show airs throughout the entire city of Memphis on Comcast C19. The student-produced show features guests from organizations all over the Mid-South, performances from local artists, field interviews with Festival artisans and student reports that capture everything this annual tradition offers.
